Irit Gal is senior licensing associate at Stanford University Office of Technology Licensing which she joined 17 years ago.
Irit manages a large portfolio of technologies across different areas, including the life sciences, chemistry, chemical and biological engineering, medical and molecular imaging, medical devices, digital health and AI, genetics and more. She is experienced in the full technology lifecycle “cradle to grave” from technology evaluation through negotiation and maintenance of a commercial license. Her experience extends to marketing, patent and licensing strategy to drive the commercialization of technologies to startups and industry.
Prior to joining OTL Irit has had extensive experience in business development and investments. At Runway Telecom in Israel, she drove the joint venture between the Israeli incubator and Alcatel of France and spearheaded the investments in startups in the telecom space. At Ceramight Composites she initiated partnerships with companies to drive the use of the composite material into new applications. At PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting and at Deloitte Consulting she managed a variety of projects which centered on cross border M&A.
Irit holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Technion (Israel), and a Master’s degree in Economics from CUNY (New York).
