Appointed CEO of BGN in 2004, Netta Cohen has significantly increased the University’s technology transfer programs, creating relationships with international corporations around the world. In the fields of information systems and communications, BGU now has relationships with global powerhouses such as Deutsche Telekom, EMC, IBM, PayPal and many others. On the Bio-pharma domain, a number of BGU patented technologies are now in clinical trials and hope to be in the marketplace in the future. Prior to joining BGN, Mr. Cohen was VP of Pharma-Israel, The Multinational Pharmaceutical Companies Association. Previously, he was the Director of Finance & BizDev for Novartis Consumer Health and Gerber Baby Food at its regional offices. He began his managerial career at Kibbutz Harish, where he served as its General Manager. Mr. Cohen currently sits on the boards of several privately-held start-up companies. He also sits on the boards of Deutsche Telekom Innovation Labs at BGU, Capital Nature, Inno-Negev and CDI digital health. Mr. Cohen holds an Executive MBA from the University of Bradford, UK, and a BA in Economics from Ruppin Academic Center.
